Schedule an Academic Advising or Career Counseling Appointment
The Office of Academic and Career Success' academic and career advisors are available to meet with students and alumni for 30- or 60-minute appointments, virtually or in person.
UMSON Baltimore Campus
Students attending classes in Baltimore, please log in to Careers4Nurses and follow these instructions:
Step 1: Click on “Appointments” on the left corner of the navigation bar at the top
Step 2: Click “Request New Appointment” button.
Step 3: Select desired appointment criteria:

- appointment type (academic advising* or career counseling)
- staff member
- date, time, length (30 or 60-min.), format (in-person or virtual)
Step 4: Select “Submit” button.
You will receive a confirmation email with appointment details.
*Please schedule academic advising appointments with your assigned academic advisor.
UMSON Universities at Shady Grove Campus
Students attending classes at the Universities at Shady Grove, email Laura El Shafei, Director of Office of Academic and Career Success at USG at lelshafei@umaryland.edu to request an appointment.
Cancelling an Appointment
Should you be unable to keep your appointment, please email the career staff member directly to cancel your appointment. As professional courtesy, please provide 24-hour notice, when possible.
