Camaraderie
Surgical teams worked as a group to heal patients. Many nurses recall that good relationships existed between the doctors and nurses on the team. They would even exchange hugs after particularly difficult surgeries. This camaraderie was more common between the graduate nurses and doctors, but even as students, some nurses remember certain doctors being especially appreciative of their work.
