Outstanding Staff Team Award
This award acknowledges and recognizes teams who demonstrate UMB's Core Values.
Eligibility
A team is defined for the purposes of nominations as a group of two or more, primarily comprised of exempt and/or non-exempt staff. Team members can be an existing workgroup or a team formed for the purposes of a specific project, task, or event. Each member nominated must have contributed to the end product. The workgroup or project, task, or event must support UMB's Core Values.
Selection Criteria
The nomination forms for Outstanding Staff Team Award must reflect one or more of the UMB Core Values.

- Well-Being and Sustainability
- Equity and Justice
- Innovation and Discovery
Nominees will be evaluated on their actions from the last 12 months. Teams are eligible to receive an Outstanding Staff Team Award once every two years.
Nominations can be submitted by any staff or faculty member and should describe:
- Exceptional contributions toward efficiency and effectiveness of operations and how this affects others
- Outstanding service to the university community and/or visitors and how this impacts others
- Special efforts in practicing inclusive excellence in the workplace and how this creates a better work environment
Deadline
Nominations will run from April 1 - 25.
Award
The winner will be announced at the upcoming All-School Meeting.
Winners will receive a certificate, lunch with the Dean, an Outstanding Staff Team pin, team photo, and announcements in The Elm: Nursing and President’s Newsletter.
