Peter Pronovost, MD, PhD, FCCM, will provide a keynote session titled "High Reliability Organizations: Toward Eliminating All Harm."

Objectives
Attendees will acquire knowledge about behavior, performance, strategies, and improvements to become a high reliability organization. At the conclusion of this presentation learners will be able to:
- describe how safety and quality improvements align with a hospital's journey to become highly reliable and safe
- describe the relationship between the patients' experience of the hospital environment (voice of the consumer) and safe care
- identify behaviors, performance, and strategies to become a high reliability organization.

Continuing Education
Nurses
Nurses can receive 2.75 contact hours upon successful completion of this educational activity. Successful completion of this activity for Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) is demonstrated by attending the entire conference, completing the online CE evaluation survey, and filling out the verification of attendance form provided on site. Partial credit will not be provided. Participants will receive a CNE certificate via email from the University of Maryland School of Nursing approximately two to four weeks after submitting the required documentation. All requests must be received within 90 days of the conference.
The University of Maryland School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Pharmacists
The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This knowledge-based activity (UAN: 0025-0000-17-011-L05-P/T) is approved for 2.75 of continuing education credit. Statements of credit will be posted to CPE Monitor within three weeks for all participants who successfully complete the activity. Successful completion of this activity requires the attendee’s signature on the sign-in sheet, participation in the entire activity, and completion of an online activity evaluation.
