Student Success Center

The Student Success Center (SSC) helps nursing students become more efficient and effective learners. Established in 2010 by a “Who Will Care?” grant from the Maryland Hospital Association, the SSC offers a variety of services to entry-into-practice students for achieving academic success:

• Guided study sessions
• Private peer tutoring
• Individualized academic coaching
• Assistance with nursing-specific writing and medication dosage calculations
• Academic enrichment workshops

The goal of the SSC is to enhance the academic success of entry-level students and increase the number of skilled nurses entering into practice in the state of Maryland.
