2008 Call for Abstracts

More than $20,000 in Scholarship and Cash Awards Available

Full Scholarships to the main conference and $250 Cash Awards for Highest Scoring Submissions

A panel of reviewers will blindly score all abstracts that have been received by the closing date.  The five abstracts that achieve the highest scores (two PAPER presentations, two POSTER presentations and one chosen as “The Sharon Coleman Memorial Scholarship Most Influential to the Field”) will be awarded the following prizes:

  • The primary author and up to four contributing authors of each abstract will receive full scholarships to SINI 08 that will include all main conference sessions, conference meals, social events, and networking events 
  • The primary author will receive a $250 cash award
  • The primary author will be recognized on stage by the SINI 2008 Program Chair during the Opening Ceremony preceding the Keynote Address
  • The authors and presentations will be highlighted in the SINI 2008 Conference Guide
  • Selected paper presentations will be held in the main auditorium and will be web cast to an international audience
  • The poster presentations will be placed in a prime location of the display area and recognized as the highest scoring posters

Six Additional Full Scholarships Available to Top Scoring Papers and Poster Presentations

  • For the three abstracts for PAPER presentations that achieve the highest scores (after the above winners), the primary author will receive a full SINI 2008 scholarship that will include all main conference sessions, conference meals, social events, and networking events.  All contributing authors will receive a 50% discount on registration.
  • For the three abstracts for POSTER presentations that achieve the highest scores (after the above winners), the primary author will receive a full SINI 2008 scholarship that will include all main conference sessions, conference meals, social events, and networking events. All contributing authors will receive a 50% discount on registration.
