Review Session for Peer Reviewed Presentations
We invite you to attend a free program for all peer reviewed paper and poster presenters. Learn about effective speaking and presentation techniques from experienced informatics faculty of the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Offered before the keynote speaker on Wednesday, July 16, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. Please indicate via email if you will be attending or make a notation on your registration form.
Paper Presentations
Each paper presentation will have 30 minutes (e.g. 20 minute presentation plus 10 minute discussion). Generally, the successful presentation covers new ground, with a focus on recent accomplishments and offers practical application.
Poster Presentations
Posters visually identify programs or research projects by depicting concepts and context at a glance. Authors will have the opportunity to discuss materials and provide related handouts. The poster session will take place during a catered lunch from 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm on Friday, July 18, in the School of Nursing’s lobby. This will encourage ample networking. Posters should be hung by the author on the prepared stands between 10:15 and 11:30 am that day and removed by 5 pm. The size of the posters should be no larger than 4’ high by 6’ wide and made to be hung using push pins, which will be provided.
