The Pi Chapter (015) was established in 1959 at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Mrs Ethel Palmer Clarke, Class of 1906, School of Nursing, University of Maryland, is credited with being "Mother" of Sigma Theta Tau. This Web site was first established April 1995 — the first Sigma Theta Tau site in the United States.
