Where can I found out information about financial aid?

What is SURFS and how can it help me?
SURFS is a Web-based companion to UMB’s Student Information Management System. The SURFS Web pages at www.simsweb.umaryland.edu provide students with online, real-time information about their student records while at UMB. Students can review their registration, grades, academic record, accounts receivable and financial aid information
Are there opportunities for work/study?
Employment opportunities for students are often available within the School of Nursing. Contact the Office of Admissions and Student Affairs, Suite 102, for more in-formation.
How do I get an e-mail account?
If you wish to access the University's main server and the Library's databases from your home computer, go to www.umaryland.edu/helpdesk/apps UMnet-App.pdf. Applications must be printed out and signed. They can either be faxed or mailed to: Health Sciences and Human Services Library, ASC Help Desk, Room LL06, 601 West Lombard Street, Baltimore, MD 21201- 1512, or Faxed to 410-706-4191.
How do I change advisors?
Students must submit their requests in writing to the Associate Dean for Admissions and Student Affairs, suite 102.

What can you tell me about the UMB library?
The Health Sciences and Human Services Library (HS/HSL) serves all schools on campus and the University of Maryland Medical Center. It contains more than 350,000 volumes. The Library offers an array of services including reference, course reserve, borrowing books, interlibrary loan, and photocopying. Consultations and database searching by faculty librarians are also available. HS/HSL is located at the corner of Greene and Lombard Street (601 West Lombard Street).
