NURS418: Pain Management

This course addresses current issues and concepts related to pain assessment and management drawing on the theoretical and research literature.

Given the multidimensional nature of pain, in addition to the physiological aspects, this course addresses the affective dimensions of pain, the impact upon family or significant others, cost-benefit issues in pain management and the relationship between pain and quality of patient care.
