Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
The University of Maryland School of Nursing offers a competitive and rigorous undergraduate program. As a student in this program, you will be educated in an environment where evidence creates the foundation for curriculum and practice. By the time you complete your degree, you will be prepared to apply your comprehensive skills and leadership abilities in a wide variety of settings.
The School of Nursing offers an undergraduate program that leads to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. It is an upper-division, professional program based on a foundation of 59 credits, completed before matriculating into the BSN program. Students then earn 61 credits at the School of Nursing to total 120 for the BSN degree.
Students at the University of Maryland, Baltimore campus are admitted in the fall and spring semesters and can attend full-time or part-time. Students at the Universities at Shady Grove, in Rockville, Md., are admitted in the fall and attend full-time. Some coursework may be completed online.
