Western Maryland Outreach Program
The University of Maryland School of Nursing has a long history of providing educational opportunities to registered nurses in western Maryland. The program is housed at the Western Maryland AHEC in Cumberland but the RN to BSN and RN to MS programs are currently offered in both Cumberland and Hagerstown.
Students are admitted to the program in all semesters. Part-time and full-time study are available. Part-time study enables a registered nurse to complete the program in four semesters in her/his home community. Depending on the semester of admission, full-time study may result in the student having to travel to Frederick, Shady Grove or Baltimore to complete the required clinical course. Students may combine traditional classes with web-based instruction to complete the course of study in one year.
