Living History Museum

Museum Docents

Although the Living History Museum’s primary goals are to introduce students to nursing history, strengthen alumni relations and serve as a catalyst for the exploration of timely historical issues, it also provides an ideal setting for intergenerational learning that naturally transpires between museum docents and student visitors.

The Museum’s corps of volunteer docents, who are retired nurses and alumnae of the School of Nursing, serve as tour guides and excellent sources of information for visitors. As women of tremendous wisdom and experience, their presence is an important reminder of the durable link between nursing’s past and present.
