Media Relations & Publications
The Office of Media Relations and Publications provides the School of Nursing with internal and external coverage of significant achievements, programs, events and other happenings. The office researches, writes and disseminates press releases, public service announcements, media alerts and opinion/editorial columns, as well as pitching pertinent news stories to appropriate media outlets.
The office produces two editions of the School of Nursing news magazine, University of Maryland NURSING, annually; the School's biennial research publication, Advancing the Science of Nursing; a monthly electronic newsletter, School of Nursing News, and myriad printed pieces such as brochures, advertisements, post cards, invitations and more.
Media representatives can call or e-mail the Assistant Director for Media Relations and Publications for information about the SON or to arrange interviews with faculty or staff.
