Abstract Submission Information

Completion of Submission  

Complete two versions of your abstract submission:

  • One including full author and contact information
  • A second omitting author and contact information

Submit both versions simultaneously for blind review.

Abstract text must be typed and not exceed 500 words in length. Only electronic submissions using the format provided will be accepted. Incomplete or faxed submissions will not be considered for review. Email both versions of the submission to: instituteforeducators@son.umaryland.edu.

Selection Criteria

  • Clarity of abstract
  • Relevance to conference theme
  • Potential for contribution to knowledge and/or practice

Review Process, Notification, and Acceptance

The abstracts will be judged through a blind review process (without author or institution identification) based on the criteria above. Only the lead author will receive notification of abstract status via email by March 18. Your acceptance to present and a completed registration form must be received on or before March 22. Failure to register by the deadline constitutes a decline to participate.

Poster Displays

Posters should be no larger than 4’ h X 6’ w and made for display with pushpins, which will be available at the conference. Posters should visually identify programs or research projects by depicting concepts and context at a glance. Authors will have the opportunity to discuss materials and provide related handouts.

The poster sessions will take place during a catered luncheon from 11:30 a.m. 1 p.m. in the Southern Management Corporation Campus Center, adjacent to the School of Nursing. This time period and venue will facilitate ample opportunities for networking.
