Our Working Definition of Evidence-Based Practice
“Evidence-based practice embodies the integration of the best research evidence with clinical expertise and patient values and preferences to make decisions about patient care.” (Sackett et al, 2000)
Theme
Abstracts should focus on the use of evidence in nursing practice and address the theme of this year’s conference: “Nursing Practice Based on Evidence: The Case for Collaboration”
Topics to be considered:
- Evidence-based practice projects
- Translational studies
- Implementation studies and/or clinical studies that demonstrate partnership and collaboration among organizations and health care providers in order to improve patient care
