Dean Janet D. Allan and the University of Maryland School of Nursing present
Overview
One of the biggest challenges facing today’s nearly three million nurses is their understanding of the evidence behind their practice. The remaining few hundred thousand nurses should know the evidence behind their practice — that is if they learned how to recognize what is evidence There are many misconceptions in today’s nursing practice, which are too easily accepted as the truth. Our dialogue will address how these common misconceptions developed and what each of us can do about changing nurses' approach to practice through improved inquiry and appraisal skills.
